La Region supported La Cité in order to give life, in this “industrial cathedral” that are the former Halles Latécoère, to a space dedicated to innovation. La Cité thus constitutes a structuring facility intended to support the creation of wealth and jobs sustainably serving the development of the innovation ecosystem in Toulouse and Occitanie. A place of work, collaboration and exchange, it brings together in a single space, over nearly 14,000 m², complementary services adapted to the development and growth of innovative companies.
From July 2022, La Cité was recognized among the “25 places that are changing innovation in France” following a study carried out, in particular, by La Banque des Territoires (CDC group) and France Urbaine.
If the event spaces of La Cité can, in a marginal way, be commercialized, the main objective of their use aims to make La Cité a flagship place for the subjects of innovation, the economy and the professions of tomorrow. Thus, for events that contribute to achieving this objective, spaces can be made available to organizers within a partnership framework.
