The Nanoscience Meeting - C’Nano 2021

From November 23rd to 25th, 2021.

For the fourth consecutive year, the French national Competency Cluster in Nanoscience of CNRS, C'Nano, organizes its annual international meeting in nanoscience.

C’Nano 2020 The Nanoscience meeting aims at gathering the scientific communities in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and will take place in Occitanie region (France) at the Pierre Baudis Congress Center in Toulouse from November 23rd to 25th, 2021.

The program will include plenary lectures and parallel sessions on topics at the interface of various research areas: nanochemistry & nanoparticles, nanobiomedicine, nanophotonics & nano-optics, nanoscale heat transfer, nanocomposites,  nanosafety, 1D & 2D nanomaterials, nanomagnetism & spintronics... A thematic session specifically dedicated to PhD students and post-docs will be co-organized with the CNRS research network GdR Or nano.

In addition, a poster session will be opend for contributions and an exhibition area will be organized for sponsors and partners. A ceremony will be also organized to reward best PhD Thesis 2020 in nanoscience as well as best oral and poster presentations

Last, three satellite events will be organized in the frame of this congress. The first one concerns the European FET OPEN MEMO project (Mechanics with Molecules) coordinated by Francesca MORESCO from TU Dresden (more information): a workshop on "Single molecule mechanics on a surface: gears, motors and cars". This workshop is organized in preparation for the international Nanocar race II, that will take place in 2021 at the CEMES – CNRS Laboratory in Toulouse. The second satellite event will be a meeting organized by the Interdisciplinary Group for Nanotoxicologial Studies (GIENS) the day before the congress. The third one is about a special session on "Innovation in Nanoscience" dedicated to researchers and engineers willing to transfer their knowledge and technologies towards industry: it will involve stakeholders of the French innovation ecosystem in Toulouse and Occitanie region.

This meeting is dedicated to all scientists in nanoscience and nanotechnology, including academic and industrial researchers, engineers, PhD students, Post-docs, etc.

Up to 300 academic and industrial attendees are expected!
