CNCPP 202331st Annual Colloquium of the National Commission of Committees for the Protection of Individuals

Applications for clinical trials (research involving the human person) including French patients are evaluated by two independent bodies which are the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products and the Committees for the Protection of Persons (CPP, also called ethics committees). The latter must focus on verifying the protection of patients and healthy volunteers (and potentially their relatives) included in clinical trials and verify the ethical soundness of proposed research (Jardé Law of 2016). Each year, the members of the French CPP meet to share annual information (changes in legislation, feedback) and to train each other.
